Thank Benjamin Franklin for losing an hour of sleep Sunday
Date:
03/13/2021 Thanks to Benjamin Franklin's idea in 1784, you will lose an hour of sleep Sunday at 2 a.m.
Daylight savings time takes affect at 2 a.m. on Sun, Mar. 14. so you may want to change all your clocks Saturday night. Set them one hour forward.
While this gives us daylight longer until we fall back an hour on Nov. 7, the spring or "vernal" equinox does not occur until Mar. 20.
What happens on an equinox? It is the only time the sun rises directly due East and sets directly due west for everyone on Earth!
Happy Daylight Savings Time!
