CAPS 13th District Organizer Arroyo suffers family tragedy and needs help

Johnnie Santiago, youngest son; Nancy Arroyo; and Anthony Jaime

Anthony Jaime, son of Nancy Arroyo, CAPS community organizer in the 13th and now the 12th Police Districts, was in a horrific auto accident last week and is fighting for his life.

A freshman engineering student at Southern Illinois University, Jaime is in a coma with injuries to his brain, eyes and nose.  After a 15-hour surgery he remains in critical condition and will require more surgeries in the future.

Ironically his life long dream has been to build prosthesis for those in need. Now he may be the one in need.

There will be a fund raiser Thurs., Dec. 20, in the Fraternal Order of Police Hall, 1412 W. Washington Blvd., from 6 to 11 p.m. There will be free food, raffle prizes and music.

Donations can be sent to Chicago Patrolmen's Federal Credit Union, 1407 W. Washington Blvd, Chicago, IL 60607. Please make them out to Friends of Anthony Jaime --C/O Nancy Arroyo.
