The Chicago Department of Transportation's (CDOT) new site, ChiStreetWork just came online Tuesday, expanding the public's access to City information.

Snow or no snow, parkers can suffer consequences of Chicago's two winter parking rules starting Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 3 a.m. and going to April 1, 2019, warns the Chicago Department of Streets & Sanitation (DSS). 

With winter weather finally behind, Chicago street sweeping season is at hand along with possible tickets in your future. But, you can avoid the pain. 

Beginning April 1, street cleaning will be coming to your street until mid-November.

Energy and waste disposal are both focal points in Chicago's "green" initiatives but as the new year begins, waste disposal and garbage fees are center stage. Christmas tree disposal, garbage collection fee and Blue Cart rules require some thoughtful research.

Each year the City of Chicago provides an opportunity for residents to participate in shared sidewalk repair program. The 2015 programs opens at 8 a.m. on Jan. 13. 

The death of Logan Square's Jose Media and safety of children going to and from Goethe School, 2236 North Rockwell St., prompted a meeting on Thurs., Aug. 14, at 1st Ward Alderman Proco "Joe" Moreno's office regarding traffic on Rockwell St.

Part of the Chicago Department of Transportation's (CDOT) Arterial Street Resurfacing of the 26th Ward, Division St. construction will occur from Western to Cicero Avenues. This is scheduled to begin on Sept. 30, according to 26th Ward Alderman Roberto Maldonado.

While all work on this corridor is scheduled to be completed by  Dec. 6, 2013, temporary "No Parking" signs will be periodically installed as required for each activity.
