Mark Pristop found dead in Michigan

Mark Pristop, of Ukrainian Village, who was listed as missing by the Chicago Police Department, was found dead in Saugatuck, MI, according to reports. The cause of death is currently not known.

Police Alert: Armed Robberies of taxi cab drivers in Pulaski Park

The Chicago Police Department reports that there have been armed robberies of taxi cab drivers in the 14th (Shakespeare) District between 8 and 11 p.m. In these instances, a male black enters a taxi, displays a handgun, and announces a robbery.

Street and CTA closures, changes and expanded service

Damen Ave. Closure
From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sat., July 19, the street will be closed between Churchill and Willow for work on the Bloomingdale Trail.

Traffic will be rerouted on Western Ave. between Armitage and North.

While vehicle traffic is not allowed on Damen, one sidewalk will remain open for pedestrians.
