Since the start of the Kremlin’s campaign to take over Crimea in March, there have been false myths generated and broadcast by the Russian propaganda organization to give Putin the “license” to torment Ukraine and many other countries. 

The thousands on the Maidan are still united in prayer for their country, peacefully remembering and honoring those who have greatly suffered and died in fighting to obtain freedom for every Ukrainian. Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, Jew and Muslim are pleading for restraint in Ukrainian, Russian and several other languages.

While St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic School, 2200 W. Rice St., opened its doors this week for the 77th year, its humble roots were planted in 1908 by Rev. Nicholas Strutynskyj as a Saturday school.
