Senior's prayer brings levity to aging

Though there are many "Dummies" books and videos about a plethora of subjects, I have not found one on the foibles of aging that is even close to a video showcasing a prayer by Mary Maxwell.

Maxwell, a friend of the founders of Home Instead Senior Care, was asked to give the invocation at the company's 2009 Convention. Initially it seems like a normal prayer but then she adds an addendum.

Delivered in a deadpan manner with professional comedic timing, she says such things as "This is the first time I've ever been old..it just sort of crept up on me..." Click here to view the UTube video.

While Mary Maxwell does not live on Chicago's near northwest side, we certainly would be delighted to welcome her and her humor.
