Once again the late licensed night club called the Dolphin, 2200 N. Ashland, in Bucktown, is the scene of mayhem. This time two are dead and one is in the hospital. Scott Waguespack, 32nd Ward Alderman, is angry.

A fight that began inside spilled onto the street. One 41-year-old, identified by the Chicago Tribune as Elijah Moore, and Deonte Jackson, 34, were pronounced dead at the scene at 3:10 a.m. Monday morning. A third, a 26-year-old, was shot in the wrist and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to the Chicago Police Department's Officer Sullivan.

"I told Rahm personally that I was sick and tired of trying to shut down late night bars causing problems. His response was 'ok ok,'" explained Waguespack. "The fact is that his staff and commissioners have done nothing to follow through on all of the problems that police run into with these places every weekend. There's no reason why they shouldn't be shut down and there's no reason why they should have been left open except for the failure of the Liquor Commissioner and the Department of Business Affairs."

Their liquor license was revoked and they went through a deleterious impact program with Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection, ending with a Plan of Operation. Within days of theie re-opening, they were in the headlines again.

Formerly known as the Green Dolphin Street, it is owned by the Menettis, who also dominate the northeast corner of North and Damen Avenues, where they own The Tavern and Café Absinthe,
