Art with a conscious: Remix Chicago this weekend in Logan Square

Remix Chicago is a recycle art fair and more on both Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 on Milwaukee Ave. between Fullerton and California in Logan Square between noon and 10 p.m.

Working off the fact that each American produces an average of 4.3 pounds of trash a day, this event is aimed at getting everyone to Remix, Rethink and Recycle while having a fun Labor Day Weekend celebration and raise funds for local school Art Programs

Starting with the art, artists' work is from recycled items. Workshops are being offered for people of all ages. Food from "forward-thinking" restaurants, beverages and music re all part of a two-day event. Proceeds will benefit local school art programs.
