Breaking News: The 606 Halloween event moved to 14th District Shakespeare Station and other Halloween news
BREAKING NEWS:
Change of venue for Halloween celebration on Saturday for The 606, Julia de Burgos Park and Churchill Park...because of Mother Nature's plans of more rain.
Two parks, Haas Park, 2402 N. Washtenaw, and Smith Park, 2526 W. Grand Ave. will be catering to kiddies start Friday (today) at 3:30 p.m.
Haas will have the ghosts and ghouls ready from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for kids 12 and under. They report that they will have games and lots of goodies. The highlight is the parade around the Park during which judges will select prize winners.
Smith Park's Spook Skate is quite the experience in their gym. They report that roller skates, scooters or roller blades and dancing will all go on to the music of Spooky Sounds from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Toddlers are welcome to come at 5:00 p.m. There will, of course, be a Halloween Costume Contest.
