Be part of the Milwaukee and Leavitt Park designing process
Tree tops cast a shadow on the Trail along the north side of the triangular park, formed with Leavitt on the east and Milwaukee on the northwest diagonal in this Google Map
You can be part of the design process for the new Milwaukee Ave. and Leavitt St. Park (Park 567) on Thurs., Jan. 26, 6:30 p.m., Holstein Park Auditorium, 2200 N. Oakley. The event is a collaboration of Chicago Park District, Trust for Public Land, Friends of the Bloomingdale Trail and 32nd Ward Alderman Scott Waguespack.
Nestled in against the wall of the newly planned elevated Bloomingdale Tail, this space has been identified as an access point for the future Bloomingdale Trail. On the space for the former railroad, the 2.7 mile linear park will pass through Wicker Park, Bucktown, Logan Square and Humboldt Park as it goes from Ashland to Lawndale Avenues.
