Cops caught soliciting again....for Special Olympics!

Once again 14th District Chicago Police Officers were caught "soliciting" at the Dunkin' Donuts, 2565 W. Fullerton, early Friday morning!

Last year the citywide efforts of Chicago Police officers participating in Cop on the Top of Dunkin' Donuts roofs raised $33,000 in donations for the Special Olympics.

Each donor received a "thank you," a smile and a coupon for a free donut.

Interesting observations over the years include:

• drivers with the most expensive cars stop less than everyone else driving little old cars to huge trucks
• drivers tend to give more if an officer notices an infringement such as no seat belt or an empty beer bottle
• some officers have more fun than others
• thanks needs to be given to all the men and women in blue who give far more to our City than protection
