Changes on the Blue Line on the weekend with CTA warnings to riders

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) continues to remind passengers to practice social distancing, as a precaution against spreading COVID-19, while announcing this weekend's maintenance work.

Maintenance being done this weekend is part of the Your New Blue modernization program. They recommend that passengers allow extra travel time for some delays during the hours of their maintenance. 

Boarding changes between Jefferson Park and Cumberland

From Fri., May 8 at 10 p.m. until Sat., May 9 at 5 a.m.

Board and exit on the Forest Park-bound platform at the Harlem (O'Hare branch) station

Trains in both direction will operate on the same track between Jefferson Park and Cumberland 

Boarding changes, delays between Cumberland and Jefferson Park  

From Sat., May 9 at 10 p.m. until Sun., May 10 at 6 a.m.

Board and exit on the O'Hare-bound side of the platform at the Harlem (O'Hare branch) station

Trains in both direction will operate on the same track between Cumberland and Jefferson Park.
