CTA Blue Line service changes through February 27

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) gives notice about work through February 27 along the Blue Line. 

They suggest riders allow some extra time as the work may slow them down. 

Temporary Closure of Grand Ave. Blue Line Station

• Chicago Blue Line Station will be closed until Mon., Feb. 24, at 4 a.m.
• Free bus shuttle service will operate on Milwaukee between Chicago and Grand Blue Line stations
• Construction to improve the Chicago Station is taking place as part of the Your New Blue(YNB) program

Boarding changes between Damen and Clark/Lake

Until 4 a.m., Mon., Feb. 24

Nightly from 10 p.m. to the next morning at 4 a.m. starting Mon., Feb. 24, through morning of Feb. 27 

Board and exit on the Forest Park-bound platform at the Division, Chicago and Grand stations. 

Trains in both direction will operate on the same track between Damen and Clark/Lake.  

This work is being performed to ensure safe operations along the Blue Line.
